Elev8/208 Bikepacking is the brainchild of two crazy wayward Dividians, Norb DeKerchove (TD ’11; CTR ’14; AZT300 ’15) and Tyson Fahrenbruck (TD ’12), who met by happenstance and serendipity.
Because of their shared mental inclination and kindred spirit they have made it their mission to promote the dark arts of bikepacking to like-minded souls. They believe bikepacking is the ultimate adventure by bike endeavor.
From ultra-endurance to local micro-adventures, they hope to expand your adventure horizons while showcasing the beautiful natural wonders of Idaho.
Even if you’re only a ‘fan of the day ride’, you will be embraced and indoctrinated to possibilities you never knew existed.
Grandiose intentions? Absolutely! They wouldn’t waste their time with anything less.
Elev8/208 organizes the Smoke ‘n’ Fire 400, a 400ish mile self-supported mountain bike event coming each September. Other sufferfests, like the Idaho Trail 400 and the Hawley Mountain 120 are in the works so stay tuned.
From mountain trails to big gravel roads to fat stuff… we don’t discriminate.
Explore, dream, discover…never stop pushing!
